When there isn't a math symbol between two sets of parentheses, it means to multiply. Here's an example

(9)(5) = (9)*(5) = 45

So let's put that into our equation:

(-11)*(3/2)*(.12(-12))

Now, based on our order of operations, we need to do parentheses next. Some people like to think of PEMDAS to remember the order of operations. This picture might help out:

Let's do the parentheses next in our equation:

(-11)*(3/2)*(.12(-12))

(-11)*(3/2)*(-1.44)

Let's turn 3/2 to a decimal by divide 3 by 2. We get 1.5. Let's put this in the equation.

(-11)*(1.5)*(-1.44)

Now we just multiply through!

(-11)*(1.5)*(-1.44)

(-16.5)*(-1.44)

23.76
