When working with fractions , I always try to get them to simplest form for multiplication first off 2/4 is 1/2 now we want to get our mixed fraction to a single fraction. 3 1/2 is equal to 7/2. now multiply 7/2 X 7/2  which will be? Remember denominators multiply as well as numerators. I am not going to give you the final answer..:)
