60 x 1/3 =60 / 3 = 20

\(60\times \frac{1}{3}\\ =\frac{60}{1}\times \frac{1}{3}\\ =\frac{60\times1}{1\times3}\\ =\frac{60}{3}\\ =20\)

 

AND

 

\(60\times \frac{1}{3}\\ = \frac{1}{3}\times60\\ = \frac{1}{3}\;\;of\;\;60\\ =20\\ because\\ 20+20+20=60\)
