(x^2 + 2x - 1)(x^2 + 2x + 5) =

x^2 * x^2    + x^2 *2x +  5x^2   =  x^4 + 2x^3 + 5x^2    (1)

2x*x^2 + 2x*2x + 10x  =  2x^3 + 4x^2 + 10x   (2)

-1*x^2 - 1*2x - 1*5  =   -x^2 - 2x - 5   (3)

Combining (1) (2) (3)  we have

x^4 + 4x^3  + 8x^2 + 8x - 5
