12 months= 10

 

  + 6 --->18 months= 15  <---+ 5 this side

 

24 months=20

30 months = 25

 

36 months= 30

 

42 months= 35

 

44 months=  38 because he makes 5/6 he will only need 2 months more to complete 2 paintings.

so in 44 months he complets 38 paintings, or 32120 hours.

I think you misread the question !! "how many more painting does she need to complete before she has completed 38 painting"

38 - 5 = 33 more paintings that Kelsey needs to complete to get 38 paintings.
