Hello and Merry Xmas: Can you please try and see if you can find the missing rational fraction (a/b), so that the identity is true: Pi/4=22arctan(1/38)+17arctan(7/601)+10arctan(a/b), find a/b. Thanks and have a great Christmas.

Pi/4  = 22arctan(1/38) + 17arctan(7/601) + 10arctan(a/b)    ....... rearrange as

 

[ Pi/4  - 22arctan(1/38) -17arctan(7/601)] / 10  = arctan(a/b)     ......means that

 

tan ( [ Pi/4  - 22arctan(1/38) -17arctan(7/601)] / 10 )   = a / b

 

7/ 8149  =   a / b
