If a cylinder is 48pi sq. feet. The radius of the base is 3ft. What is the height of the cylinder?

If the surface area  is   48 pi   square feet, we have

 

48 pi  =    2 pi  * radius  * height     

 

48 pi  =  2 pi  *  3  * height

 

48 pi   = 6 pi   * height         divide both sides by 6 pi

 

8 ft   =   height
