I assume that you have standard form and want to go to slope-intercept....we really just want to get y by itself

 

Example

 

4x - 7y + 3  = 0       add 7y to both sides

 

4x + 3   =   7y       divide through by 7

 

(4/7)x + 3/7   = y       and this is slope-intercept form
