They order 2 slices of a cake that has 12 total slices. The baker says, "Because you're only purchasing one-sixth of the cake, I will only charge you one-sixth of the price." If the total bill comes to $3, what is the cost of the whole cake? Does Jackson have enough money to purchase the whole cake if he wants to?

The cost of the total cake is $18. One sixth of 18 is 3, so it fits in.

Your question never tells how much money Jackson has, so I can't answer that part.
