0 = 2x(3/x - 3/2) - 7

2x(3/x - 3/2) - 7 = 0

Solve for x:
2 x (3/x - 3/2) - 7 = 0

2 (3/x - 3/2) x - 7 = -3 x - 1:
-3 x - 1 = 0

Multiply both sides by -1:
3 x + 1 = 0

Subtract 1 from both sides:
3 x = -1

Divide both sides by 3:
Answer: | x = -1/3

0 = 2x(3/x - 3/2) - 7     distribute the 2x over the terms in the parentheses

0 = 6 - 3x - 7                combine like terms

0 = 13 - 3x                  add 3x to both sides

3x  = 13                       divide both sides by 3

x =  13 / 3

CPhill: You made a slight mistake in this part:

0 = 6 - 3x - 7  add 3x to both sides

3x = 6 - 7

3x = -1 divide both sides by 3

x = -1/3
