help can't seem to find the correct answer.

On a world  globe, the distance between City A and City  B, two cities that are actually 10,670

Kilometers apart is 13.4 inches. The actual distance between City C and City D is

1540 kilometers. How far apart are City C and City D on this globe?

13.4/10,670=X/1540

13.4*1540/10,670=X

X= INCHES

THE DISTANCE BETWEEN C AND D ON GLOBE IS ____ INCHES.

We can solve this with  a proportion :

I  / 13.4   =  1540 /  10670    where I is the inches n the globe between C and D

Multipy both sides by 13.4

I =   13.4 * 1540  / 10670  ≈  1.934 inches
