(x + 4) / 4  =  (x + 3 ) / 3   cross-multiply

3(x + 4)  = 4(x + 3)  simplify

3x + 12  =  4x + 12     subtract 12 from both sides

3x =  4x         subtract 3x from both sides

0 = 4x - 3x

0  = 1x          divide both sides by 1

0  =  x

$${x+4 \over 4} = {x+3 \over 3}$$

No solution.

Test x=1

1+4               1+3
----       =       ----

4                   3

5/4 ≠ 4/3

There is no solution.
