You use a^2+b^2=c^2

The c would be the hypotenuse, but remember that this answer would lead you to a squared answer. You have to put a square root to get your answer.

Use Pythagoras Theory.

$${{\mathtt{a}}}^{{\mathtt{2}}}{\mathtt{\,\small\textbf+\,}}{{\mathtt{b}}}^{{\mathtt{2}}} = {{\mathtt{c}}}^{{\mathtt{2}}}$$

The hypotenuse is the longest side.

If you square the adjacent side and add it to the Opposite side squared you get the Hypotenuse squared.

Square root the answer to find the hypotenuse.
