Is infinity a number?

Infinity is a # it just keeps going on and on so it is a increasing number 

It can be used as a symbol to describe a never ending trend. If we are talking numbers, i could just give you a computer that just keeps generating numbers and never stops. The numbers are there but we describe it as infinite.

I don't think infinity is a number...it is more like a concept of a never ending parade of numbers....or space.
