is this problem perpendicular parallel or neither 10x+5y=-5 and y=-2x+6

Rearrange the first equation: 5y = -10x -5. Divide by 5:    y = -2x - 1

 

Comparing this with y = -2x + 6 we see that the coefficient of x (which represents the slope) is the same in both cases. Hence the lines are parallel.
