Below is a portion of the graph of a \(y=h(x)\) function  :

What is the sum of all integers x in the interval shown (\(0\le x\le 8\) ) such that \(h(x)>x\)  ?

Note that  we really want to know [in integer terms for x ] where the y value of the function is greater than its associated x value....

This happens at   (0,4) , (3, 4), (4, 7), (5, ≈ 7.5), (6, 7) and (8, 10)

So....the sum of the x values  = 0 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 8   =   26

cool cool cool
