The mean is equal to the mode and this is equal to 4.
Find ALL the possible sets of 3 numbers.
Since the mean(average) of 4 numbers is 5, it therefore follows that they total: 5 x 4 =20.
20 -(3+5+8) =4 - which is the fourth number.
The mode is the most frequent number. And since the mode = the mean =4, I can only think of one set of three numbers, which is:4, 4, 4.
