I would say it is 'a' because it says he can only make 'either'  ....not that he can make a combination of the two.

I would say it costs Goober 200 gallons of corn liquor to make 100 gallons of Strawberry wine.  (so it is 'close' to 2 gallons of corn liquor to make 1 gallon of strawberry)

Oh yah!   Hahaha  ...I did too !   Well, the answer is still 'a' the way it is worded.  BUT I can see how 'd' might be the answer they are looking for......the way it is worded, to me says it costs 100 gallons of corn liquor to make 80 gallons of strawberry ONLY....it says they can make EITHER 100 corn OR 80 strawberry.... it does not say they can make a combination of the two...semantics.

Thanx for clueing me in !!!

Hi Solveit,

Gomer can make either 200 gallons of corn liquor or 100 gallons of strawberry wine every six months. {nl}

So it 'costs' Gomer  2 gallons of corn liqour to make 1 gallon of strawberry wine.

Goober can make only 100 gallons of corn liquor or 80 gallons of strawberry wine every six months.

And it 'costs' Goober  100/80=1.25 gallons of corn liquor to make 1 gallon of strawberry wine

a. None of the other answers is correct.

b. It costs Goober 1 gallon of corn liquor to make 1 gallon of strawberry wine .        F

c. It costs Goober 0.8 gallons of corn liquor to make 1 gallon of strawberry wine .   F

d. It costs Goober 1.25 gallons of corn liquor to make 1 gallon of strawberry wine   T

e. It costs Gomer 0.5 gallons of corn liquor to make 1 gallon of strawberry wine      F

I'm going for d too  :))
