I'm not asking a complete math question. Can we see microns with a microscope? I'm asking this question because the word microscope has a "micro" in it.

Yes!

Micrometer (one millionth of a meter) is often shortened to "micron".

Just like a flagpole can be a few meters long, some small structures can be a few "microns" long.

Micro means 'extremely small'

In the metric system micro means 10^-6

This meas that there are 1million micrometres in a metre.

A scope is something you look through

So a microscope is something that you look through to see very tiny things.
