I have these four problem i need help with.

 

0.4    2/5   0.625   1/8  1/10    - Answer is 5

0.7    0.9   1/10     0.3   10     - Answer is 0.1

2/9    3/4    1/8       7     1      4  - Answer is 1/3

3/8    1/2    1/6       9      8    10 - Answer is 2/5

 

To do these we need to use order of operations in order to get answer. 

You can cannot move the numbers around and can't add/remove any. 

 

I tried and having hard time. please help. I will really appreciate.

Here's the first two  :

 

 

0.4  -  2/5  + 0.625 -  1/8  /  (1/10)

[2/5  -  2/5 +    5/8   -  1/8] / (1/10) 

[       0        +        4/8  ]  /  ( 1/10)

                           [ 1/2]  /  [  1/10 ]  =          5

 

 

0.7    0.9   1/10     0.3   10

[ 0.7 *  (0.9  +   0.1)  +   0.3]   /   10

[ 0.7 * ( 1) +   0.3] / 10

[ 0.7  +  0.3] / 10

[  1]   /  10     =      0 .1

[ (2/9) / (3/4) * (1/8)  * [ ( 7 * 1) - 4] ]

 

[     8/27   * 1/8      *  [  7  - 4 ]  ]

 

[           1/27 *  3  ]  =      3 / 27    =   1 / 3

 [  [ (3/8) / (1/2)]  /   [ 1/6 * 9 ]   *[ 8 / 10] ] 

 

[ ( 6/8)  / ( 9/6)   *  ( 8/10) ]  

 

[ (3/4) / (3/2)  * ( 4/5) ] 

 

[  (3/4) (2/3) ( 4/5) ] 

 

[  1/2  *  4/5 ]  =     4/10   =  2/5
