Whoops.  My answer is wrong.  I may have inputed the wrong numbers into the calculator.  The actual answer is actually approximately equal to $227,272.73.  Sorry about that.

1 kg  = about 2.2 lbs       1 ton = 2000 lbs

250 / 2.2 lbs   = Price / 2000 lbs

Price = 500,000 / 2.2  = about  227272.73

cool cool cool

Edit for an earlier goof......thanks to gibsonj338 for pointing out my gaffe.....!!!!

Actually 1 ton is equal to 2,000 pounds.

1 kilogram is equal to about 2.2 pounds

If 1 kilogram is equal to $250 and 1 kilogram is equal to about 2.2 pounds, you can subsitute 1 kilogram for 2.2 pounds and now get that 2.2 pounds is equal to $250.

Let x equal price for 1 ton or 2000 pounds.

\(\frac{2.2lbs}{$250}≈\frac{2000lbs}{x}\)

\(2.2lbs*x≈2000lbs*$250\)

\(2.2lbs*x≈$500,000\)

\(x≈$224,215.25\)

1 ton is equal to about $224,215.25 when 1 kilogram is equal to $250.
