Find g(-3) when \(g(w)=-2w^5+8w^3-25w+4\) using two different algebraic strategies from this lesson.

(I'm assuming that when it says two different algebraic strategies from this lesson, it means either long division, synthetic division, and the remainder theorem, because that's what I learned today.)

Substitution

-2(-3)^5  + 8(-3)^3 - 25(-3) + 4  =  349

Synthetic Division

- 3   [   -2    0        8         0        -25         4  ]

                   6     -18      30        -90      345

          ______________________________

           -2    6      -10     30        -115     349
