I am thinking of a number. I multiply it by 13 and add 19. I get the dame answer if it multiply it by 3 and add 239.
Let N be the number.....so.....
13N + 19 = 3N + 239 subtract 19 , 3N from both sides
10N = 220 divide both sides by 10
N = 22
