what does it mean when you scale a factor on a graph

its for geometry

Example......

 

If we had a triangle  with the vertexes  (1,0), (0,1)  and ( 3,2)

 

Let us supose that we had a scale factor  of 2

 

This means that the new triangle will have the vertexes  2( 1,0),   2(0,1)   and 2(3,2)  =  (2,0),  (0,2) (6,4)
