So thine solution to the plague that curses my land is for those not yet cursed to avoid contact with those who are afflicted and also to avoid the life style of the afflicted as it brings death to mind and body.
These words totally lack compasion my dear Tud. What kind of Doctor are thee anyway?
Tis thine responsibility to make contact with the afflicted. Tis thine responsibility to attempt a cure - even at risk to thine own mental or physical health. Thou should feel the weight of such responsibility heavily upon your shoulders.
Thee hides in your bottle, though to be honest to stand on Mars and watch the transit of the Earth across the sun, that be a sight of pure wonderment. Why would one tie oneself amoung the cursed of this planet when one has a universe of potential experiences spread before their feet.

It would seem mine compassion lacketh, but only to those who embrace the darkness of ignorance as a way of life. Such be not mine attitude to those who be just afflicted by the by. For them I be willing to help.
To expend the energy to help those who embraceth the darkness of ignorance as a way of life, may compel a weariness and apathy in well-doing that so dilutes natural compassion that it may become not effective in helping those who truly desire treatment. Compassion, as with all resources, be of limited supply. I must needs to choose to rightly divide it, lest it become useless for all.
There be a man who came to me for treatment of his arm that he injured by the sharp edge of a tree bough. He waited several days before seeking treatment and his arm became purple and black as the infection moved to his blood. I drained his wound and instilled a tincture made from a crystal often found with salt and it be called iodine.
Many times I useth this and it stopeth the infection well more often than not. I wrappeth his wound and speaketh to him that he not tend to it in any manner and return two days hence for another instilment of tincture, and he sayeth yea. But this man straightway taketh the counsel of those who embraceth dark knowledge and foolishness, and he placeth under the bandage the wing of a bat to aid and expedite the healing.

I would ask her Majesty if this man would have done well to avoid contact with those who be willfully afflicted with the dark ignorance that be contagious?
While her Majesty would never be persuaded by their dark foolishness, I would ponder the point of having them near, except perhaps as court jesters. Their foolishness will bring weariness and drag down those who would learn from her Majesty’s wisdom and knowledge.

Even the name must be spoken in the most hushed tones lest the evil hears its name and crosses the hearth to enter and corrupt the home of the unguarded youth.
But this be not thee Chuirgeon Tud. Thou be a great man of medicine. Thine magick shall encompass thee and keep thee within a powerful protective cloak. Tis thine sworn oath to protect those in weakened condition.
Yes this ignorant man with poison in his veins should not have encouraged or allowed the intervention of these ignorant afflicted witches. However thee be not he. Thou knowledge is strong protection. Thee can walk among these people and be not corrupted. Thine knowledge make thee impervious to this infection. Only the fire water that thee so cherishes could make thee fall into the clutches of those infected with the scourge of this contagious darkness disease. So, my dear Tud, thee should pull thineself up and go forth to fight your foe. Wisdom and knowledge be thine powerful weapons.
I am however entranced. I wish to stand on the planet of war and watch the Earth pass before the sun. Or perhaps to stand upon the northern pole and watch the magical lights dance in sky above my head. These be wonderments to behold.
