If you just want the answer, that is 8.7 * 10-4

So you know in future, if you want to change numerical to standard form like this, click the "=" key again.

 

If you want to know how to do scientific notation yourself:

consider the first significant number (non-zero) as the starting point. Now you want to see how many digits away is that from it's normal position (i.e. 8.0). In this case, it's gone down 4 digits, this means it will be 10-4. If it went up to say 870000.0, you can see "8" moved up 5 digits, making that 8.7 * 105.
