what is the vertex of y=-x+8x+14

I assume this is.....

y= -x^2+8x+14

The x coordinate of the vertex is given by -b/2a = -8/2(-1) = 4

And the y coordinate is given by

y = -(4)^2 + 8(4) + 14  =  -16 + 32 + 14  = 30

So the vertex is  (4, 30)
