What is the sum of the lengths, in centimeters, of the two legs of a 30-60-90 right triangle, if the length of the hypotenuse is \($2\sqrt{6}$\) centimeters?

The  side across from the 30° angle   =  (1/2) (hypotenuse)  = (1/2) (2√6)  = √6

 

The side across from the 60° angle =  (√3) ( side across from 30° angle)   = (√3)(√6)

 

Sum of leg lengths =     √6 ( 1  + √3)   cm   ≈    6.69 cm
