Find the experimental probability of getting the letter e when a letter is drawn at random from this text:

In English, the letter e appears most frequently among alphabetical characters. In these lines, it appears eighteen times.

Note: Exclude spaces and punctuation marks from your analysis.

Well, this is tedious but simple.

After counting all the characters we find that there are a total of 100 characters (at least when I counted). From this all we do is see that the number of "e"s to the number of total characters is \(18/100\), or \(9/50\).

You are very welcome!

My "Word Processor" counts 102 characters WITHOUT spaces! So, 18/102 =3 / 17
