These problems are pretty hard to understand, for me at least.

Which statements are true about the polynomial function?

f(x)=x4+5x3−x2−5x

Select each correct answer.

Options

(x−5)  is a factor of  f(x) .

f(x)  divided by (x+5) has a remainder of 0.

f(5)=0

f(x)=0  when  x=−5 .

Please and thank you! 0^>

The options can be translated into

i) 5 is zero of f(x)

ii) -5 is a zero of f(x)

iii) 5 is a zero of f(x)

iv) -5 is a zero of f(x)

I'd say the easiest method is just to plug both values in and see.

f(5) = 1200,

f(-5) = 0

so ii and iv are correct
