Answer given above does not really help YOU learn how to solve it does it?....here is method:

 

Area of larger rectangle =  (9+b) * a = 84

          smaller rectangle =  a*b = 21     so   b = 21/a    subst this into the first equation

                                          (9+21/a)*a = 84

                                            9a + 21 = 84

                                            9a = 63

                                               a = 7                          since we arwe given  a*b = 21       then b = 3
