The sides of triangle  PQR are tangent to a circle with center C as shown. Given that angle PQR=65 and angle QRC=30, find QPR, in degrees.

Note  that angle QRC  =  angle PRC  =  30°

 

So angle QRP  =  QRC + PRC  =  60°

 

So

 

QPR  =  [ 180  - QRP  -  PQR ] =  [ 180 -  60 - 65 ]  =  55°
