-3(n + 6) + 10  =  -8

 

To solve this equation for  n , first let's subtract  10  from both sides.

 

-3(n + 6)  =  - 8 - 10

-3(n + 6)  =  -18

 

Next, divide both sides of the equation by  -3  .

 

n + 6  =  -18 / -3

n + 6  =  6

 

Next, subtract  6  from both sides of the equation.

 

n  =  6 - 6

n  =  0
