3x,5x-4,5x are first 3 consecutive terms of an arithmetic sequence . What is its 10th term?

d=5x-(5x-4) = 4

so

5x-4-3x=4

2x=8

x=4

so

a=3*4=12     d=4

Tn=a+(n-1)d

T10 = 12+9*4 = 48

3x+5x=2*(5x-4)

8x=10x-8

x=4

3x=12

d=(5x-3x)/2=4

Thus the 10th term of the sequence is 3x+(10-1)*d=48
