A line has equation x=my+b for some real nonzero constants and b.

a) In terms of m and/or b, what is the x-intercept of this line?
b) In terms of m and/or b, what is the slope of this line?

a) In terms of m and/or b, what is the x-intercept of this line?

Setting x to 0, we get 0=my+b. Solving for y, we get y=−mb. Therefore, the line intersects the x-axis at the point (0,−b/m).

b) In terms of m and/or b, what is the slope of this line?

The slope of the line is simply the coefficient of y in the equation, so the slope is m.
