You have just been paid for mowing nine lawns, and you earned $7 per lawn. If you were paid $9 per lawn, how many lawns would you have to mow to earn the same amount of money?

You have earned $63

So....

$63 / $9  =   7 lawns  would earn you as much at $9 per lawn

You could also use a graph and use the two equations: y=9x and y=7x to find out where those two lines meet or how much money is the same and how many lawns it takes for each to meet.
