Connelly has 14 of a cup of water. Ryan has 25 of a cup of water. Grayson has 0.4 less than 2 times Connelly's amount of water. Write the expression that can be used to find how much water Ryan and Grayson have together.

C = 1/4 cup    R = 2/5 cup  and   G has 2(1/4)(6/10) = 12/40  = 3/10 cup

 

So R and G together have 2/5 + 3/10  =  4/10 + 3/10  = 7/10 cup
