For the first, remember that  ( am ) n  =   a m x n

So we have

(2 3 ) 2  = 2 3 x 2 =   2 6  = 64

For the second, remember the rule that  an x am   =  am+n

So...... 23 x 22 = 23+2 = 2= 32

Does that help ??
