Find a Common Denominator.

5, 9, 15

5*9= 45

9*5=45

15*3=45

45 is a Common Denominator.

1/5   =    5*9 .   So do the same to the numerator   1*9 =9

9/45

-----------------

5/9    =   9*5=4 . So do the same do the numerator.      5*5=25

25/45

------------------

2/15    =     15*3.     So do the same to the numerator.     2*3  = 6

9/45+ 25/45 + 6/25

$${\frac{\left({\mathtt{9}}{\mathtt{\,\small\textbf+\,}}{\mathtt{25}}{\mathtt{\,\small\textbf+\,}}{\mathtt{6}}\right)}{{\mathtt{45}}}}$$

= 40

40/45  = 8/9 (Simplified)
