Since Im not sure about the difference between () and [] in this case, I cannot be sure of my answer. But I think it should be something like this:
( (-2)*3)*2 *(-2)*4 =
(-6)*2 * (-2)*4 =
(-12) * (-2)*4 =
(-12) *(-8) =
96
Just slowly work out the excercise and everything between () has to be calculated first! (However in this case the minus was included to correspond to certain numbers, otherwise it would change the outcome).
