When the James family moved into a new house they had a square area rug that was 132 square feet. In their new house, there are three bedrooms. Bedroom one is 11 feet by 11 feet. Bedroom two is 10 feet by 12 feet and bedroom there is 13 feet by 13 feet. In which bedroom will the rug fit?

Bedroom one would have an area of 121 ft sq, two would have an area of 120 ft sq, while three would have an area of 169 ft sq. Obviously a 132 sq ft rug wouldn't fit in either a 121 or 120 sq foot room. The rug will fit in the third one, though.

I definitely will not fit in either of the first 2 rooms, it MIGHT fit in the last room but only if it is nearly square in shape.

If it is longer than 13 foot it will not fit in any of the rooms   angry
