 2x - 3y    = 3 

  x  + 3y   = 10 

Let's just add both equations....this gives us

3x = 13       divide both sides by 3

x = 13/3      substitute for "x" into one of the equations to find "y"

13/3 + 3y = 10     subtract 13/3 from both sides

3y = 17/3             divide both sides by 3

y = 17/9

So, the solution is (13/3, 17/9)
