How many solutions are there for the following equation -9(-11x +6) = -43(-23 - 4x

This is a linear equation, so it will have, at most, one solution

-9(-11x +6) = -43(-23 - 4x)  simplify on one side

99x - 54  = 989 + 172x     subtract 172x from both sides and add 54 to both sides

-73x = 1043   divide both sides by -73

x = -1043 / 73
