How do I turn a decimal number into a radical? Such as 0.707=sqrt(2)/2

You can't because dacimals are rational numbers, they either recur or terminate.

 

Radicals are irrational numbers 

So it is impossible for one to equal the other,

0.707  does not equal   sqrt(2)/2

 

The are approximately the same but they are not exactly the same :)
