Here are some examples  

    x^2 * x^5   =  x ^(2+5) = x^7

(x^3)^4  = x^(3*4) = x^12  

25 x^2  + 7x^2   = 32x^2

x^4/ x^2  = x^(4-2) = x^2           Hope this helps

12x^3 +12x^2 =    12x^3 +12x^2     you CAN simplify THIS to   12x^2 (x +1)
