On a normal calculator you can enter a mixed fraction by entering the front

for example

\(2\frac{2}{3}\)

can be entered on on your calculator by putting

 \(2\rightarrow a\frac{b}{c}\rightarrow2\rightarrow a\frac{b}{c}\rightarrow3=2\frac{2}{3}\)

or you can convert it into an improper fraction and right

\(\frac{8}{3}\)

in this case since you want to add them together you can do

\(2\rightarrow a\frac{b}{c}\rightarrow2\rightarrow a\frac{b}{c}\rightarrow3+2\rightarrow a\frac{b}{c}\rightarrow2\rightarrow a\frac{b}{c}\rightarrow3=5\frac{1}{3}\)

or once again use the improper fraction form

\(\frac{8}{3}+\frac{8}{3}=\frac{16}{3}\)

which if you need a mixed fraction you can convert that into one by clicking shift ab/c or by clicking ab/c on some calculators or just doing math.
