Graph each pair...
y=log5X and Y=5x I understand Y=5x and how to graph it but I can't figure out how to get y=log5x in the x and y form because I thought rewritten it equals
y=5y=x so I'm confused.. Please help!
y=log5X and Y=5x
These are inverse graphs........and inverse graphs have "reversed" coordinates.....
So, just plots some points for y = 5x and then, reverse the coordinates!!!.......this will give you the log graph...
For instance, when x = 1 51 = 5....so the point (1, 5) is on the exponential graph
And on the log graph, we have the point (x, y) = ( 5,1)
Similarly the point (-2, 1/25) is on the exponential graph.....so the point ( 1/25, - 2) will be on the log graph
Here's an example using 10x and log10 x.............https://www.desmos.com/calculator/jbypfpwre3
Hope that helps.....
