If you double a number and then add 20, you get 4/7 of the original number. What is the original number?

X is the original number....then:

2 (x) + 20 = 4/7 x

2x + 20 =4/7x

20 = 4/7x -2x= - 1 3/7 x

20/-1 3/7 = x

-14 = x
