A skateboarder is moving 5.25 m/s when he starts to roll up a frictionless hill. How much higher is he when he comes to a stop?

Yes it is theoretical in that friction is ignored.....but GRAVITY is used in the equation  ( the 'g'  in 'mgh' )

Never mind, if you can't tell me that, than what is the incline of the hill?

Skateboarder's Kinetic Energy = 1/2 mv^2     all of this energy is converted to POTENTIAL ENERGY =mgh   (since there is no friction involved)

1/2mv^2 = mgh      the m's 'cancel and you are left with:

1/2 v^2 = gh           Substitute and solve for 'h'

1/2 (5.25)^2 = 9.81(h)

h= 1.40 meters high

Is that theoretical? Because I know that the incline changes everything, wether or not it's frictionless, that doesn't mean there's no gravity.
