Debbie wants to invite 60 people to her party. Invitations come in the packs of 12 and stamps come in sheets of 10. What is the least number of each she should buy to mail an invitation to each person and have no supplies left over? _____packs of invitations _____sheets of stamps Please show your work!

First divide 60 by 12 and that value represents the number of packages of invitations she needs.

 

60 / 12 = 5 packages of invitations

 

Now divide 60 by 10 and that value will represent the number of packages of stamps she needs.

 

60 / 10 = 6 packages of stamps

 

So Debbie needs 5 packages of invitations and 6 packages of stamps.

I'd say start with laying your work out and doing this problem step by step and laying out these steps also don't loose tract of which step your up to and how to do it.wink
